Kenner Parks And Recreation Day Camp Supervisor
To supervise Day Camp Staff, Campers and activities at Kenner Parks and Recreation Day Camp. Reports to: Leisure Service Supervisor Performance responsibilities include supervising Day Camp Counselors and Campers, coordinating camp schedules, onsite activities, field trips, and representing the Kenner Parks and Recreation Department at day camp for the interpretation of the rules and regulations. The individual must be able to read and comprehend directions from the Leisure Service Manager, act as a mediator and supervisor if a dispute occurs during camp, and be able to communicate in English both orally and in writing. Work environment includes standing, bending, and moving constantly during camp time. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. Mental involvement requires the ability to comprehend verbal or written direction and instructions from the Leisure Service Manager. Human relations involvement includes monitoring and responding in a responsible manner in various situations and maintaining an objective attitude, tact, and discretion. Minimum qualifications include being age 21 or older and having experience in a leadership role and working with children. Desirable qualifications include a teacher with a B.S. in Education or a teacher assistant with 2 years of experience or more.
