Everstory Partners Funeral Director

You will be responsible for: Meeting with clients to make funeral arrangements, explaining service options, assisting in the selection of caskets, providing information on pricing, and preparing standardized contracts for services. Finalizing the details discussed during arrangements conferences with appropriate follow-up and compliance documents. Directing funeral services and visits, including greeting family members, opening the parlor, coordinating and instructing casket bearers, greeting and escorting clergy to the chapel. May assist with funerals without acting as the primary director or as a funeral car or limousine driver when necessary. Preparing or coordinating the preparation and issuance of permits and documents associated with funerals and embalming. This includes death certificate, coroner's permits, written embalming case study, and others as needed. Removing and transporting deceased individuals from home or hospital to the funeral home. Maintaining the cleanliness of the preparation room and equipment. Performing all other related duties assigned. Requirements include: 1 year of experience as an authorized funeral director and 2 years of post-secondary education; graduation from an accredited embalming or mortuary science school. Must be a licensed funeral director and embalmer or have the ability to obtain a state license; ability to obtain any additional state-required licenses. Possesses a high degree of concentration and attention over a continuous period of time. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an understanding of the complexity of death care. Capable of providing an empathetic and affectionate environment for our clients and their loved ones. Great ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively with others in a team environment. Capable of standing/walking occasionally and frequently lifting or pushing. Possesses a valid state driver's license.
