Headquartered in Harbor Springs, Michigan, Walstrom Marine is one of the largest privately owned marine dealerships in Michigan, focused primarily on “big water” craft with premium brands including Tiara Yachts, Regal, Sea Ray, Pursuit and Chris Craft. Director of Finance Role

As Walstrom Marine continues to grow, we are seeking a senior finance leader to serve as Director of Finance. This role reports to the President and will work closely with functional leaders, the General Managers of each location, and Walstrom’s Board. The Director of Finance will be an active member of the executive leadership team, helping to shape strategy and ensure the financial rigor required to support Walstrom’s next chapter of growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively work with the leadership team on strategic, sales and operational planning
• Foster a positive, engaged environment by living Walstrom’s values and mission and being deeply committed to the customer from sales through service
• Lead the annual budgeting, cash flow forecasting and month-end close process across all dealership locations
• Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to the leadership team and Board
• Propose, evaluate and prioritize capital and other investment opportunities, including potential acquisitions and geographic expansion
• Support the training and growth of the finance/accounting team
• Responsible for financial systems and the control environment of the business, including all accounting and related policies and processes
• Manage Walstrom’s capital structure and banking relationships
• Partner with General Managers across all locations to ensure consistent financial practices and performance visibility

Ideal Candidate

• Matches the values of Walstrom Marine; is deeply committed to the customer and ensures full care from sales to F&I to service
• 10+ years of finance/accounting experience with demonstrated leadership and business partnership capabilities
• Master’s in Accounting, Master’s in Business Administration and/or CPA designation preferred
• Strong financial analysis, budgeting and reporting practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to partner with leaders across remote locations
• Experience in marine, powersports, automotive or other dealership/retail environments a strong plus
