Position Information: Director of Program Planning, Implementation and Assessment (PPIA)
Location: Greenville, NC. Department: AAHSODM OD Vice Deans Office. Division: Academic Affairs. Working Title: Director of Program Planning, Implementation and Assessment (PPIA). Employment type: Non-Faculty, Full Time. Salary: Anticipated Recruitment Range $85,000 - $90,000.
Responsibilities
- Provide management and coordination of a variety of services in meeting the program planning, implementation, assessment, and reporting needs of the ECU School of Dental Medicine (SoDM).
- Extend the benefits of the educational, research, and service activities supporting the SoDM’s mission.
- Acquire, manage, and analyze data from multiple sources with emphasis on program planning, implementation, and assessment.
- Manage organizational program evaluation and assessment activities and prepare reports for SoDM, University, State, and accrediting agencies.
- Coordinate program planning and evaluation to ensure programs are effective and aligned with SoDM goals and objectives.
- Participate in strategic planning at macro and micro levels (unit, department, program).
The position reports to the Vice Dean with ancillary reporting to the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs. Contingent upon the availability of funds.
Specific duties
- Data Management, Analysis, and Reporting (55%): coordinate data collection, management, and analysis to support continuous quality improvement; direct data collection with data stewards; develop reporting templates and dashboards; disseminate confidential assessment data as appropriate for mandated reporting.
- Accreditation (35%): compile and create reports to ensure ongoing compliance with SACS and CODA; monitor program reports and surveys to ensure compliance with standards; support accreditation planning for the predoctoral program and self-study reports.
- Strategic Planning and Outcomes Assessment (10%): participate in strategic planning, analyze program strategies, objectives, outcomes and finances; align SoDM strategic plan with University and UNC System plans; interact with SoDM leadership to address planning and reporting needs; foster collaborative research and funding opportunities.
Qualifications
Minimum Education/Experience
- Master's degree with two years of relevant experience; or bachelor's degree with four years of relevant experience; related fields may include education, public health, public policy or planning, public and/or business administration, or other related field.
- Demonstrated experience with initiation, implementation, management, evaluation, and assessment of a program or programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of administration, state licensing boards, and accrediting agencies to support licensure and accreditation requirements.
- Advanced computer skills including statistical analysis and data management software (e.g., SAS, Qualtrics, Excel, Power BI).
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Broad knowledge of strategic planning, program development, data collection, interpretation/analysis, and reporting processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.
Other Requirements
Employment eligibility: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This position participates in the UNC Optional Retirement Program (ORP) with employer contributions and may include other voluntary retirement plans. It is not eligible for TSERS. Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and other voluntary plans are available.
