We are seeking a future team member for the role of Managing Director to join our Credit Services team. This role is located in New York, NY .

Responsibilities

  • Drive Fund Finance portfolio growth (Capital Call, Private Credit ABL, BDC Lending, Management Companies' financings and other). Lead origination and structuring of credit facilities for top Sponsor relationships of BNY.
  • Lead strategic vision for fund finance portfolio growth and new product initiatives. Present portfolio reviews to Executive Committee members including CFO and CRO.
  • Responsible for setting fund finance portfolio governance, such as consistent legal due diligence, LP monitoring framework, review and refinement of transaction underwriting guidelines. Review the appropriateness of potential portfolio risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide sector content and insights on the industry and trends that may translate into business opportunities, identify product gaps and solutions to fill them.
  • Manage a team of fund finance bankers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. MBA is preferred.
  • 15+ years of total work experience related to Capital Call, Private Credit ABL, NAV, Structured Finance; experience in risk analysis.
  • Excellent credit analysis and financial modelling skills; experience in reviewing, analyzing and negotiating credit documentation.
  • Ability to communicate skillfully and effectively with involved stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead, inspire and motivate a team.

Compensation Note

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $136,500 and $350,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
