Overview

Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Senior Sales Engineer / Senior Systems Engineer for IronMountain Solutions. Schedule: Full Time 40 hours per week; 8 hours per day in office (remote work is not authorized). Relocation: Negotiable. This role supports our customer at Redstone Arsenal, AL in the Utility Helicopter Project Office (UHPO). An active and transferable DoD Secret level security clearance is required.

Ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in an engineering field, with 15 to 20 years of general work experience, strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to work effectively with others, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Education, and General Experience:

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree from an ABET accredited school and 15 years’ experience is required
  • Knowledge of Black Hawk helicopters and their systems, subsystems, and components
  • Previous experience performing engineering technical program management and systems engineering (SE) preferred
  • Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain a U.S. SECRET security clearance. Per federal requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this level of clearance

Responsibilities

  • Serves on and supports one or more UHPO IPO Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program teams. Assess and derive Customer-Country unique helicopter product verification requirements
  • Establishing and maintaining IPO TMD Systems Engineering standards. Supervise all program technical leads within IPO
  • Develop Systems Engineering Standard Operational Procedures, Contract Requirements Packages (CRP) Statement of work (SOW) and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) Technical Management Division (TMD) Templates
  • Evaluate contractor proposals to prepare detailed technical evaluations and support USG contract negotiations. Ensure CDRLs are work-flowed, reviewed, answered, and tracked using TopVue or Windchill IAW standard work
  • Technical management (organizing, planning, and supporting) and SE execution of a technical helicopter development, integration, verification, production, modification, fielding, and sustainment
  • Assess and derive foreign-partner unique helicopter product performance and verification requirements
  • Develop and prepare program acquisition strategies, SE schedule estimates, and engineering risk assessments and mitigations
  • Obtain, assess, apply, track, and ensure verification of product airworthiness requirements to include following UHPO IPO TM processes, development of system, item, and airworthiness qualification specifications
  • Support major program technical reviews to include, but not limited to, System Readiness Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), etc.
  • Ensure aircraft products are verified (to include Army System Readiness Division (SRD) AW approved) and contract requirements are met
  • Keep UHPO IPO TM Chief informed and follow UHPO IPO direction
  • Collaborate and coordinate with Material Developer (e.g., UHPO, CCDC AvMC, ACC-R, PEO-Avn, and AMCOM) personnel. Monitor contractor and supplier (e.g., Sikorsky, Airbus, PIF, C5ISR, RTC, and LSF) contract performance

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds
