SPONSORSHIP & EXPERIENTIAL MARKETING INTERNSHIP 2026 At Citizens, our Sponsorships & Experiential Marketing team develops best-in-class partnerships, activations, and events to drive brand awareness, deliver business results, and create differentiated experiences for clients and customers based on their passion points. Strengthening our brand reputation through partnerships and experiences is at the core of our growing sponsorship and experiential team. Based in Westwood MA or Johnston, RI, the Sponsorships & Experiential Marketing Internship position will be primarily responsible for assisting the Sponsorship and Experiential teams with the planning, execution, and activation of targeted marketing programs and events across our sponsorship and experiential portfolio throughout our footprint. Internship Timeframe: May 2026 – December 2026 plus:
Approximately 30 - 40 hours per week paid, including weeknights and weekend days at Citizens sponsored events
Hybrid work environment: some traditional daytime office hours along with event based and remote hours

General Responsibilities
Support the Sponsorships and Experiential Marketing teams in the planning, execution, and activation of sponsorship programs and events.
Assist with event post‑event wrap‑ups, including recaps, photo organization, and performance summaries.
Assist with the development of new marketing programs and experiential concepts for customers, clients, and colleagues.
Help manage activations, including on‑site support at concerts, festivals, events and live entertainment venues.
Coordinate colleague volunteer activations, including staffing, scheduling, communications, and on‑site logistics.
Conduct research and provide support for strategic planning across the sponsorship portfolio.
Assist with presentations, campaigns, press events, publications, and community and sponsorship initiatives.
Provide general administrative and project support to the Sponsorship and Experiential Marketing teams as needed.
Partner with internal teams (Brand, Marketing, Communications, Legal, and Operations) to ensure activations align with brand and compliance guidelines.
Support measurement and reporting efforts, including tracking attendance, engagement, and customer feedback.
Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new activation ideas and enhance existing sponsorships.
Qualifications
On track to graduate with a bachelor’s in marketing, Business, Communications or a related field
Expected graduation date of May 2026 or May 2027 with minimum GPA of 3.0 required.
Must be available to work and travel to all Citizens sponsored venues and events as needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as weekly daytime office hours.
Demonstrates high degree of integrity, and possesses the ability to complete challenging assignments with a high level of confidentiality.
Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, writing and organizational skills
Ability to interact with internal, marketing and external partners at different levels. Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Experience with social media and AI
Access to reliable transportation and/or comfort level with local public transit system.
Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
Must complete HireVue assessment within 4 days.
Hours and Work Schedule Hours per Week: Approximately 30-40 hours per week
Work Schedule: Some regular office hours, but will also include some weeknights, weekend days & nights at Citizens sponsored events
