Overview Our client, a leading educational institution, is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor to join their team. As a Financial Aid Advisor, you will be part of the Student Services department supporting students in navigating their financial aid journey. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and a passion for helping students succeed.
Responsibilities
Conduct initial overview sessions with students to explain the financial aid process and assist with FAFSA form completion.
Review and assess student financing needs, ensuring eligibility for Title IV funding.
Provide counseling on financial aid options, including grants, scholarships, and veterans' benefits.
Create cost estimates and review them with students to ensure understanding of financial commitments.
Coordinate with admissions and academic departments to keep students engaged and on track for funding.
Qualifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively assist students.
Strong analytical skills to assess financial aid eligibility and needs.
Ability to work collaboratively with various departments to support student success.
Detail-oriented approach to ensure accurate processing of financial aid documentation.
Proficiency in using computer systems and software relevant to financial aid processes.
