Responsibilities
The Graphic Designer will develop marketing materials including design/layout of advertisements, newsletters, display panels and proposal/presentation materials (covers, flysheets, proposal graphics, proposal layout, etc.).
Researches paper options, printing techniques and digital media processes as necessary.
Prepares work for output and meets with vendors to discuss and estimate projects.
Ensures quality control through approval of proofs and review of materials.
Interprets client requirements to creatively design and build customized work and graphics for use on multiple platforms.
Makes design decisions based on client feedback, branding standards and overall vision.
Develops and maintains design mockups, storyboards and other design documents.
Develops, designs and creatively solves design challenges for various media platforms.
Updates design knowledge by participating in educational and professional opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
Performs other related duties as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Design or Fine Arts related field of study or equivalent experience
Experience with Premiere, After Effects, Dreamweaver, and CSS; offset printing/digital printing/color correction
Section 508 Compliance knowledge
Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Outlook)
Offset printing/digital printing/color correction knowledge
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience
Strong knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) Microsoft Office suite
Ability to design a wide variety of styles
Eye for design details, such as typography, alignment, hierarchy, etc
Strong portfolio showing design experience
Strong skills in customer service, communication and negotiation, flexibility, time management, project management, detail oriented, leadership, and teamwork
Understanding of branding/brand development, communications, and research
