Directors, Associates, and Senior Managers in Crisis Communications are sought to join our New York office on our Global Crisis and Issues Practice, part of the Weber Advisory group. This team helps organizations manage breaking negative issues and events affecting reputation and develop the internal culture and infrastructure needed to predict, prepare, and navigate them effectively. What You Will Be Doing / Responsibilities
Account Director, Crisis and Issues Communications
– Manage projects and client relationships as a key team member to navigate complex, high-profile corporate issues and crisis communications (e.g., cybersecurity issues, product safety issues and recalls, executive leadership changes, natural disasters, culture change, societal issues, IPOs). Serve as day-to-day client contact, providing account support and counsel, flagging and triaging issues, and directly managing client issues as they arise. Lead data-driven industry and topic analysis to inform strategy, including leveraging AI, media monitoring, and social analysis tools. Develop and draft crisis plans, media strategies, reactive statements, trainings, talking points, FAQs, memos, crisis simulations, and other deliverables as needed. Collaborate with senior team leads and practice group leaders to achieve client success and deliver sector-leading perspectives. Train and motivate emerging talent and contribute to growth of team capabilities. Provide regular counsel to clients and colleagues and liaise with global partners for market insights. Keep client programs on schedule and within budget; participate in new business development and cross-practice collaboration for broader pitches. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or 5+ years in an agency/strategic setting with crisis preparedness, reputation management, and live crisis counsel. Extensive crisis communications and issues management experience across multiple industries; digital analytics-savvy with strong writing skills; agency experience required. Experience with corporate reputation, brand protection, and integrated communications programs. Familiarity with AI, next-gen programs, and data aggregation to inform strategy. Ability to thrive under pressure with multiple deadlines; exceptional judgment; strong communication (oral and written). Experience delivering media and crisis training; ability to mentor and grow talent; global perspective and collaboration skills. Understanding of markets and issues affecting financial and reputational well-being of companies. About the Global Crisis and Issues Practice

Account Director salary range:
$115,000 – $135,000 USD Where compensation falls within this range depends on factors including market and internal ranges, tenure, qualifications, and background.
