
Annual Giving Operations Specialist

SUMMARY:
The Annual Giving Operations Specialist provides strategic systems management and operational leadership in support of university-wide fundraising initiatives within the Office of Annual Giving. This position serves as the primary administrator and subject matter expert of core fundraising platforms, mass communication tools, reporting, and seamless integration of data within the Blackbaud CRM.
The Specialist plays a critical role in the execution of high-impact campaigns such as Giving Day, Reunion/Class Giving, Spiders Helping Spiders, and additional fundraising efforts. By ensuring data integrity and optimizing digital workflows, this position directly enables the team to raise over $5M+ annually across major campaigns while enhancing the donor experience.
Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Annual Giving, this role collaborates extensively with Advancement colleagues, University partners, vendors, alumni, and donors. The incumbent will directly contribute to successful solicitation efforts and initiatives designed to increase donor participation and engagement.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Systems & Data Management
Manages outgoing correspondence and communications relating to Annual Giving and Reunion/Class Giving, including list generation, segmentation, and reporting from the University's CRM database.
Manages and serves as the primary point of contact for the online giving platform (currently Give Campus), coordinating with Advancement partners and other University departments to support annual giving campaigns (e.g., Giving Day), forms, and reporting needs.
Acts as the primary technical lead for the integration between Campus and Blackbaud. Troubleshoots software bugs, manages errors, and submits/tracks vendor support tickets.
Writes and runs complex queries within the CRM database to extract donor lists and performance metrics.
Maintains and updates the University's Giving web presence in collaboration with Advancement Communications and University Communications.
Manages the mass-texting platform (currently Hustle) used by Advancement and campus partners.
Operational Support
Prepares and maintains required correspondence, documentation, and records in accordance with University and Advancement standards.
Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations to improve workflows, documentation, and operational processes related to Annual Giving programs and systems.
Coordinates operational support for the planning of fundraising programs and activities.
Performs manual updates of donor totals and names during live giving events to ensure real-time leaderboard accuracy.
Works collaboratively with colleagues across the Office of Annual Giving to advance departmental goals and support a culture of continuous improvement.

SALARY STRUCTURE: Pay Grade 5 (Hourly) - $21.09/hr. to $27-.95/hr.
WORK HOURS: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm, 7.75 hours/daily, 38.75 hours/weekly
