Documentation Specialist (Temporary)

We are looking for a dependable Documentation Specialist to support a short-term project focused on preparing and digitizing paper records. In this role, you will handle document preparation, scanning, and organization to ensure accurate and complete digital files. The position also involves retrieving and moving boxes from storage, sometimes using a cart, stepstool, or ladder. Work hours are within standard office hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM). Reliable transportation to our Buckhead office is required. This project is expected to last 2–3 months, depending on workload.

Prepare paper documents for scanning by removing staples, clips, and other bindings.
Copy or resize non-standard pages to standard letter size.
Scan documents in batches while ensuring image quality and completeness.
Organize and verify scanned files for accuracy.
Retrieve, move, and stack boxes of documents from storage (using carts, stepstools, or ladders as needed).
Maintain an orderly and safe work environment.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks.
Organizational skills to manage documents, files, and boxes efficiently.
Basic computer and scanning software knowledge.
Ability to safely lift and move boxes of documents (up to 25–30 lbs).
Reliability and punctuality in meeting deadlines and attendance expectations.
Problem-solving skills to identify and correct scanning or document issues.
Flexibility to adapt to varying project needs and workload.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
Travel Requirements
Less than 5% of the time, but occasional travel is necessary.
