
Purchasing Agent

RealREPP , a full-service recruiting firm, is currently teaming with a growing, stable, and nationally recognized organization to assist them in hiring a Purchasing Agent in undefined, undefined.
This role is responsible for executing the quoting, procurement, and delivery of specified products and services from qualified suppliers and subcontractors. The Purchasing Agent will evaluate and recommend the best solutions with respect to cost, quality, delivery, and alignment with company purchasing standards.
Responsibilities
Fulfill material requisitions from field staff, estimating, or fabrication shops; ensure materials are procured at competitive prices and delivered within required timeframes Partner with staff and management to eliminate waste and streamline processes; work closely with Accounts Payable and Project Management to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure timely payment Assist in preparing bid documents and bidder lists, including inquiries, requests for bids, and recommendations for award Coordinate with project managers and other departments to procure goods and services including raw materials, tools, equipment, parts, and supplies Support resolution of supplier-related issues and conflicts Coordinate bulk deliveries of rough products to meet project deadlines Prepare and manage purchase orders; follow up on past-due orders and ensure timely delivery
Qualifications
Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry preferred Strong knowledge of purchasing systems, practices, and procedures Effective negotiation skills and ability to procure materials in a timely manner Strong product knowledge of pipe, valves, and fittings for plumbing/mechanical systems Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, database applications, and ERP systems (COINS preferred) Strong collaboration skills with suppliers, customers, project teams, field staff, and accounting
