Job Description

Position: Teller I – TD Store location Location: East Northport, New York, United States of America Hours: 40 per week Pay Details: $23.00 - $29.50 USD Line Of Business: Personal & Commercial Banking Overview: The Teller I works in a TD Store location and plays a key role in delivering legendary customer experiences while processing everyday banking transactions with accuracy and efficiency, and educating customers on TD\'s products and services or referring them to a partner for specialized solutions. Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED 6 months work related experience preferred; or equivalent demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience Ability to work during operating hours including weekends, evenings, holidays as scheduled Demonstrated customer service skills preferred Strong organizational skills Detail-oriented Ability to function in a fast-paced and changing environment Excellent communication skills: concise, clear and consistent Responsibilities Execute TD\'s Brand promise by delivering a Legendary Customer experience in the Store Process customer transactions: deposits, withdrawals, loan and safe deposit box payments with accuracy Process cash transactions: cashing checks, verifying currency, balancing cash drawer, night deposits Respond to customer inquiries using standard procedures; escalate to management as needed Engage in lobby leadership: welcome customers and guide them appropriately Understand customer preferences and educate on self-service/digital options Advocate for customers: conduct needs-based conversations and refer to appropriate partners for solutions Make sound decisions and provide timely problem resolution; escalate complex issues Ensure compliance with company guidelines and applicable regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act) Verify customer identities per authentication policies Balance cash drawers, ATMs, and Teller Cash Recyclers as necessary Adhere to safe deposit box procedures and protect confidential information Maintain appropriate cash limits and secure cash; follow dual control Follow security and audit measures to minimize potential loss Utilize tools and processes to detect, address, and prevent fraud Complete required in-classroom and online training by established due dates Physical Requirements Never: 0%; Occasional: 1-33%; Frequent: 34-66%; Continuous: 67-100% Domestic Travel – Occasional International Travel – Never Performing sedentary work – Frequent Performing multiple tasks – Continuous Operating standard office equipment - Continuous Responding quickly to sounds – Continuous Sitting – Occasional Standing – Continuous Walking – Frequent Moving safely in confined spaces – Occasional Lifting/Carrying (under 25 lbs.) – Occasional Lifting/Carrying (over 25 lbs.) – Occasional Squatting – Occasional Bending – Occasional Kneeling – Occasional Crawling – Occasional Climbing – Occasional Reaching overhead – Occasional Reaching forward – Occasional Pushing – Occasional Pulling – Occasional Twisting – Occasional Concentrating for long periods of time – Continuous Applying common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations – Continuous Reading, writing and comprehending instructions – Continuous Arithmetic: adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing – Continuous Who We Are TD is one of the world\'s leading global financial institutions and the fifth largest bank in North America by branches/stores.
