The Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center is the single largest investment in a cybersecurity facility in the nation to date. The $100 million facility will help fill the current and growing shortage of cybersecurity talent in the state and nation. The Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center represents a unique public/private partnership that includes Augusta University, Augusta Technical College, the University System of Georgia's research institutions, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and other state, federal, and private-sector partners working together to meet this workforce demand and to innovate, train, and strengthen defenses. The Center is located on the downtown campus of Augusta University and houses the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences. The state-of-the-art Center is located in the growing cybersecurity corridor in Augusta, Georgia, that is also home to the U.S. Army Cyber Command and Cyber School of Excellence at Fort Gordon. Job Summary

Reporting to the CRC Director, the Assistant Director Portfolio Management leads portfolio delivery for Cyber Resiliency Center projects and programs in accordance with the vision of the GCITC and the State of Georgia. The Assistant Director Portfolio Management will manage the collection of projects and programs to achieve CRC strategic objectives and ensure governance discipline, roadmap planning, risk and dependency management, KPI reporting, vendor coordination, and capacity planning. This role will work with the Senior Director to recruit and maintain key partners and manage the customer pipeline and growth for GCITC CRC programs and partnerships. Responsibilities

The duties include, but are not limited to: PROGRAM LEADERSHIP, GOVERNANCE, AND RISK:

Sets multi-quarter direction and milestones, dashboards, and post-implementation reviews to align coordinator execution with CRC priorities and measurable cybersecurity outcomes. Utilizes a strong knowledge of cybersecurity regulations, governance frameworks, and maturity models to ensure compliance, standardization, and continuous improvement. Translates organizational objectives into KPIs and risk metrics, establishing monitoring and reporting methods that support early risk detection and executive decisions. Advises senior leadership and stakeholders on cybersecurity tradeoffs and risk management. Works with key stakeholders and staff to conduct strategic planning to ensure the GCITC CRC is able to fulfill its mission and strategic objectives. Supports the implementation of GCITC CRC educational research, and entrepreneurial programs that align with and deliver on the center's stated vision and mission. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND OPERATIONS:

Assists the CRC Director with identifying and executing business growth opportunities and new revenue streams, including sector expansion, partnership development, and contract management. Oversees staffing, budgeting, and contracting, leading one coordinator position and working closely with the Assistant Director Operations, CRC, and their supporting staff. Utilizes strong knowledge of organizational finance, workforce planning, contracting, and partnership development to guide funding, allocate resources, and expand services. Demonstrates advanced skills in leadership, mentoring, and talent development, managing various workforce, and contributing to executive policy and strategic guidance. Oversees and implements appropriate resources to ensure efficient operation of the GCITC CRC service deliverables. WORKFORCE ENABLEMENT AND STAKEHOLDER COMMUNICATION:

Works with the CRC Director and Assistant Director, Operations CRC to allocate team capacity, conduct workforce planning, and establish hiring and retention processes to sustain scalable delivery. Utilizes advanced skills in communication and executive briefing to translate complex cybersecurity concepts, convey performance and risk, and maintain alignment, transparency, and continued investment. Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and retention of qualified, competent staff under their purview Supports and develops key client relationships. PORTFOLIO EXECUTION AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT:

Coordinates multiple CRC initiatives by managing schedules, scope, dependencies, and quality across the project lifecycle while sustaining governance and continuity. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of resource management, procurement, budgeting, supply chain risk, and security integration to enable compliant, cost-effective delivery. Balances priorities, applies cost benefit analysis, and embeds continuity planning to optimize results. Assists the Assistant Director, Operations CRC in SAV scheduling & logistics. Uses advanced skills in operational leadership and coordination to align resources, guide vendor decisions, and deliver the CRC portfolio with fiscal discipline and confidence. FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE AND VIABILITY:

Supports the development of resources sufficient to ensure the financial health of the GCITC CRC. Responsible for the fiscal integrity of the GCITC CRC, to include P&L responsibility for GCITC CRC programs, preparing and presenting annual budgets and reporting requirements, and tracking metrics (KPI), which accurately reflect the financial condition of the GCITC CRC. Manages fiscal responsibilities, operating within the approved budget, ensuring high resource utilization, and maintaining a positive financial position for the GCITC CRC. OTHER:

Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and ten or more years of Program and/or Project Management experience and experience in leading process improvement initiatives. Preferred Qualifications

Project Management Professional certification or equivalent project management experience Proven record of transparent and high-integrity leadership in managing cybersecurity frameworks and processes Knowledge of the cybersecurity industry, key players, trends, and opportunities Federal government or military experience Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

KNOWLEDGE

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases SKILLS

Hands-on budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making, and reporting Strong organizational skills, including planning, delegating, program development, and task facilitation Strong oral and written communication skills Strong public speaking ABILITIES

Shift: Days/M-F (Work outside of normal business hours may be required) Pay Band: B17 Salary: Minimum $109,500/annually Salary to be commensurate with the qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum midpoint) of the position.
