
Commercial Sales Manager

The Commercial Sales Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and growing the dealership’s commercial and fleet sales division across John Jones Auto Group locations. This role focuses on building strong relationships with local businesses, municipalities, and organizations to drive vehicle sales, increase market share, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow commercial and fleet sales
Identify, prospect, and build relationships with local businesses, contractors, and government entities
Maintain and expand a pipeline of qualified commercial accounts
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to delivery and follow‑up
Customize vehicle solutions based on client needs, including upfitting, financing, and leasing
Work closely with OEM fleet programs and ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements
Coordinate with service, parts, and finance departments to support commercial clients
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
Track and report sales performance, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and long‑term retention
Handle escalated customer concerns and resolve issues professionally
Maintain accurate CRM records and documentation for all commercial deals
Qualifications
Previous automotive sales experience required; commercial or fleet experience preferred
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Strong networking and relationship‑building skills
Excellent negotiation, communication, and closing skills
Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with fleet management or B2B sales
Knowledge of commercial vehicle upfitting and specifications
Familiarity with manufacturer fleet programs
