Product Operations Analyst, Private Markets AVP
State Street, Burlington, MA, United States
Overview
We are looking for a highly organized, analytically driven Product Operations Analyst to support the day-to-day operational engine of our Private Markets product organization. This role thrives at the intersection of process, data, and collaboration — someone who makes complex teams run more smoothly and is curious about private markets. The ideal candidate is equal parts analyst and operator: comfortable pulling and interpreting product usage data and coordinating cross-functional release readiness reviews. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders to ensure the product team operates with clarity, discipline, and pace. This role offers an entry point into private markets product management with broad exposure to the full product lifecycle, platform architecture, and investment workflows in a fast-growing asset management environment.
What You Will Be Responsible For
As Product Operations Lead you will: Support the end-to-end operational cadence of the Private Markets product team — including sprint planning coordination, backlog grooming support, release tracking, and cross-functional dependency management. Own and maintain product documentation infrastructure: PRD templates, release notes, feature wikis, process playbooks, and onboarding guides for new team members. Build and maintain product analytics dashboards to track feature adoption, user engagement, operational KPIs, and platform health metrics across the Private Markets suite. Coordinate UAT cycles — scheduling sessions, tracking feedback, consolidating tester input, and ensuring defect resolution is documented and closed prior to release. Act as the connective tissue between product, engineering, QA, and business stakeholders — managing meeting logistics, distributing action items, and following up on open decisions. Support vendor and third-party integration management: tracking onboarding milestones, maintaining integration documentation, and coordinating technical reviews. Assist in preparing executive-level product updates, roadmap presentations, and quarterly business reviews — synthesizing inputs from multiple product workstreams into clear communications. Conduct structured research and analysis to support competitive intelligence, product benchmarking, and market landscape assessments. Monitor and triage incoming product feedback from internal stakeholders and client-facing teams; route requests to the appropriate PM and maintain a structured feedback log. Contribute to process improvement initiatives — identifying bottlenecks, proposing workflow enhancements, and institutionalizing best practices across the product team. Support onboarding of new product team members by maintaining role guides, tooling access checklists, and orientation materials. Assist with data quality monitoring and reporting across key platform data domains, flagging anomalies, and coordinating resolution with engineering and data teams.
What We Value
Highly driven, determined & business oriented. Polished executive presence and ability to gain credibility with senior professionals, providing leadership and direction to a team. Demonstrated ability to deliver on responsibilities with quality and attention to detail. Collaborative and proactive working style; comfortable operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field. Coursework or demonstrated knowledge in financial markets, investment management, or data analysis is a strong plus. Advanced degree (MBA or MS) not required but considered favorably. 5–7 years of experience in product operations, business analysis, investment operations, project coordination, or related roles in financial services or technology. Strong analytical skills — comfortable working with data, building structured reports, and deriving actionable insights from product and operational metrics. Proficiency with product and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Notion or equivalent). Excellent written communication skills — able to produce clear documentation, concise meeting summaries, and well-structured executive updates. High attention to detail and strong organizational instincts; able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without sacrificing quality. Collaborative and proactive working style; comfortable in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior exposure to private markets, asset management, fund administration, or financial data platforms. Familiarity with private markets systems and platforms (e.g., Allvue, Juniper Square, Canoe, iLEVEL, Efront, or Dynamo). Experience with data visualization or analytics tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar). Basic proficiency in SQL or Python for data querying and analysis. Exposure to agile product development methodologies and sprint-based delivery. Experience supporting client-facing product communications, release documentation, or stakeholder reporting. Genuine interest in private markets, alternative investments, or enterprise fintech and a desire to grow into product management.
Additional Requirements
Ability to travel as required for client engagements (up to 20%), including internationally.
