Department of War (DoW) Office Lead (Project-Program Director 5)

What You Will Do
We are seeking a senior-level manager to lead the Department of War (DoW) Program Office within the Weapons Engineering Program Integration Office (ALDW-PO) - a Project-Program Director 5 (PPD-5). This position reports to the ALDW-PO Project-Program Director 6 and Project-Program Director 5 and will have both programmatic and line management responsibilities and authorities. This role will coordinate, define, and manage technical scope with various entities within the DoW, with execution carried out by capability organizations within Los Alamos. It combines responsibilities previously held by two separate roles—Strategic Deterrence Systems and Conventional and Hypersonic Systems—thereby increasing complexity and expanding the number of external interfaces requiring coordination. The selected candidate will initially manage existing DoW scope currently under contract, with expectations to expand and strengthen a network of DoW partners. The role will also require coordination with internal partners (e.g., Global Security Program Office (GS-PROG) and SASA) to establish an integrated team managing Los Alamos engagement with the DoW. As a PPD-5, this position includes line management responsibilities. The successful candidate will assume leadership of the existing team and augment staffing as needed.
