Director, Subcontracts 1

, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.

This position can be located in Copper Crossing, Promontory, Bacchus or Clearfield, UT as well as Chandler, AZ. This is a leadership position with daily executive interactions, and the selected candidate will display consistent impeccable judgment and embody Northrop Grumman leadership behaviors. Identify and evaluate potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure they meet the Division’s quality, cost, and delivery requirements

Negotiate subcontract agreements, including terms and conditions, pricing, and delivery schedules, while ensuring favorable terms for the Division

Manage the subcontracting process from initiation to closeout, including subcontractor selection, performance monitoring, and issue resolution

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, legal, and finance teams, to ensure alignment and compliance with contractual requirements and company policies

Monitor subcontractor performance and compliance with contractual obligations, including quality, schedule, and budget requirements

Identify and mitigate subcontracting risks/ issues and develop/implement risk mitigation strategies

Establish and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, project management, proposals, procurement, business management, contracts, engineering or subcontracts – OR - Master’s Degree with 8+ years of experience in supply chain management, project management, proposals, procurement, business management, contracts, engineering or subcontracts

Minimum of 4 years of leadership/management experience

Must have Government Contracting Experience (FAR, DFARS), including terms and conditions, contract types and associated geometry

Must have an active DoD Top Secret level clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the Company to meet its business needs

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to model and promote a strong sense of engagement, teamwork and cooperation

The ability to deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating a professional attitude

The ability to lead and influence internal and external customers

Active Top Secret and SCI Clearances

Salary and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $176,100.00 - $264,100.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\'s experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
