PLANET.TECH is a venture-backed climate technology startup developing wearable methane capture devices for dairy cattle. We convert cow burps — the single largest source of agricultural methane — into renewable natural gas and sustainable aviation fuel. Our mission: prevent 14% of global methane emissions while creating new revenue streams for farmers.
We’re looking for driven, curious interns who want real responsibility at a company solving one of the most important problems on the planet. No coffee runs. No busy work. Just meaningful work with direct CEO and CTO access.

PLANET.TECH has an incredible story to tell: a 10-person team that went from 3% to 28.8% methane capture efficiency in three months, with 35 dairy farm LOIs and a mission to prevent 14% of global methane emissions. We need someone who can help us tell that story to investors, media, farmers, and the world. As our Marketing & Communications Intern, you’ll own content creation, media outreach support, and brand building for a company at the intersection of climate tech and agriculture. Key Responsibilities
Create and manage content for LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and other social channels (PLANET.TECH currently has minimal social presence — you’d be building it) Draft blog posts, press releases, and thought leadership content for the CEO Support media outreach campaigns: research journalists, draft pitches, track responses (65+ media targets already identified) Write and format email newsletters for investor updates and stakeholder communications Monitor and report on media mentions, competitor coverage, and industry trends in climate tech and ag tech Assist with event preparation: World Ag Expo, climate conferences, investor demo days Help build the PLANET.TECH brand guide and messaging framework Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, PR, or related field at UT Austin or Texas A&M Strong writing skills with the ability to make complex technology accessible and compelling Experience with social media management (personal or professional) Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar) Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on content calendars Interest in climate tech, sustainability, agriculture, or deep tech storytelling Bonus Qualifications
Experience with B2B marketing, especially for technical or hardware products Journalism, PR, or content marketing internship experience Video production or editing skills (huge plus for farm visit content and social) Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot) Portfolio of writing samples or social media work Why PLANET.TECH?
