Overview

Our global client is seeking a Social Media Strategist, Digital Communications, who will be a key member of the Communications team, reporting to the Director of Digital Communications. This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies that strengthen brand messaging, increase audience engagement, and drive web traffic. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with strong analytical skills, capable of translating complex ideas into compelling digital content across multiple platforms. Rate: $50/hr. Location: Hybrid in NYC. Responsibilities

Develop and implement integrated social media strategies, campaigns, and content calendars aligned with organizational goals Create, curate, and publish engaging content (text, images, and video) across social media platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging channels Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, development, events, policy, and program teams to produce timely and evergreen content Write compelling short-form copy tailored to platform, audience, and campaign objectives while maintaining brand voice and consistency Own and manage the social media editorial calendar, ensuring alignment with key initiatives and organizational priorities Administer social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social), including scheduling, inbox management, and workflow optimization Monitor and analyze social media performance and website traffic using tools such as Google Analytics and platform insights Generate reports and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize engagement and reach Stay current on social media trends, tools, and best practices to continuously enhance strategy and execution Qualifications

4+ years of experience in social media strategy and digital communications stemming from corporate, agency, nonprofit, or media companies Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear, engaging content Experience analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to inform decision-making Proficiency in social media analytics tools and platforms, including Sprout Social and Google Analytics Experience managing social media platforms and content publishing workflows Graphic design skills using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite Ability to source and present research in visually engaging formats for diverse audiences Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
