Position Title: Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions Department: Department 2609 - Admissions Position Number: 989882 Requisition No.: S02704 Salary Range/Pay Rate: $75,393 annually. Minimum Qualifications Master’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Three years experience in admissions or related field. Minimum four years technical experience working with university student information systems/ database management. Experience in managing staff. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Excellent organization and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with others. Desired Qualifications Experience with Ellucian Banner All Qualifications: Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered. Position Purpose The Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions assists the University in meeting its undergraduate recruitment and enrollment objectives by supervising the processing of student applications, managing the application and admission record system, providing data required for management decisions, administering the undergraduate admission policies, reviewing and determining student eligibility for Michigan residency for tuition purposes, developing and managing electronic application forms, following up with prospective and admitted students, and supervising the front desk staff. The Associate Director collaborates with administrators, faculty, academic advisers, and information technology staff to facilitate and improve services to students; reports on internal and external data; determines procedural best practices; and recommends policy changes, updates, and corrections. Monitors and improves system efficiencies, recommends and implements operational procedures, documentation, and communication with high schools, community colleges, University departments and students. The Associate Director supports the student recruitment effort as needed, and manages daily operations of Undergraduate Admissions, ensuring that applications are scanned and processed accurately and in a timely manner, that proper clerical support is provided, and that future students and their families receive excellent customer service. Provides or facilitates training for clerical staff and other staff members as needed. Monitors data integrity and endeavors to operate according to established policies and procedures. Performs accounting responsibilities related to university operating income accounts along with providing technical support by designing and maintaining databases.
