The Residence Hall Director (RHD) is responsible for overseeing the operations, residential experience, and community engagement within a residence hall or complex. Utilizing a Residential Curriculum, the RHD fosters an environment which allows and encourages personal development, considerate communities, and a sense of global responsibility in honoring and advocating for all individuals.

Key responsibilities include initiating, planning, and implementing community development events, supervising student staff, and managing residence hall operations. The RHD provides student support through advising on social, academic, and behavioral concerns and adjudicating conduct cases as necessary. Additionally, this position involves responsibilities in crisis management, conflict resolution, and budget oversight.

The RHD contributes to student leadership development by supervising undergraduate and/or graduate-level student staff and advising student organizations. Experience in Residence Life—whether through full-time work, graduate school, or undergraduate leadership—is highly valuable in this role.

This role is required to live on campus, and will have on duty rotations. Weekend and evening hours will be required.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/education. 3 years of relevant experience required.

Desired Qualifications Master's Degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, or related field. 4-8 years of relevant experience. Previous experience in Residence Life.

Additional Information: We anticipate a summer start time frame for this role.

Starting pay range for this role is $44,400-$58,000. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit’s available budget, and the selected candidate’s qualifications.
