Early Intervention Specialist - Therapeutic Hourly pay : $20.20-$22.84 per hour plus mileage reimbursement Hours : Part-time (about 20-25 hours/week) with potential to build to full-time depending on availability and caseload Coverage area : Hesperia, Apple Valley, Victorville, Adelanto and surrounding areas Raising a child with a developmental disability is a journey that takes knowledge, love, patience, and support. You will be part of a team that provides in-home early intervention services for infants and toddlers and school-age children and youth where they can naturally learn and develop. Responsibilities

Plan, schedule and provide weekly in-home early intervention services or in-school settings for a caseload of infant/toddlers with disabilities, including developmental delays and programs for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. Office/area specifics: two age groups are served: School-age range (4 to 21 years old): work in school settings 1-on-1 with children who have been diagnosed with an intellectual or developmental disability. Infant-toddler age range (0-3 years): sessions are in-home with the child's parent/guardian present. Administer and document all program assessments and updates accurately to meet timelines. Design, implement, and adapt activities for language, cognitive, fine and gross motor, sensory, self-help, and social/emotional development for each child, using best practices. Model effective adult-child interactions and provide written information on parenting and child development; provide parents with weekly activities and coaching guidance. Monitor, document, and share the child’s progress with the family and team. Qualifications

Education:

For infant-toddler age position: Bachelor’s Degree in a health/human services-related major is required. If no Bachelor’s Degree: may consider an Associate’s degree (or equivalent) PLUS 2 years of experience working/volunteering with children. Some coursework in Early Childhood Education or Human Development, Psychology, Sociology, or related fields is required.

Experience:

One year of experience working/volunteering with infants or young children and their parents/guardians.

If candidate has a Bachelor's degree, experience may not be required. For school-age program position:

ABA and/or Behavior Management skills/experience/training is highly desired.

License:

Valid CA driver’s license in good standing; at least one year of history as a licensed driver (in any US state). Vehicle:

Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance coverage. Skills/Characteristics:

Availability:

Most sessions daytime on weekdays; some evenings and weekend times may be needed. Working environment:
