Interventional - The Interventional business unit provides devices for diagnosing and treating coronary and peripheral vascular diseases, with products for complex coronary and peripheral interventions, vascular access, and related therapies. Position Summary
The Interventional Access Regional Sales Manager for the West is responsible for maximizing sales and profitability in the assigned geographic area. This includes directing, managing and influencing the efforts of Sales Representatives, hiring and developing sales talent, strategic regional growth planning, and tactical sales execution. Ideally based in Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; or Los Angeles, CA. Responsibilities
Interface with sales reps by hiring, training, planning, coaching, and directing their efforts to achieve annual sales goals. Coach, develop, and hold sales force accountable through field rides, customer visits, and performance reviews. Drive compliance with Teleflex policies and procedures, including sales expense management. Ensure Sales Reps meet selling and account management goals through regular follow-up on development objectives and weekly field calls. Provide candid feedback on performance and create action plans for improvement when needed. Apply sound business judgment in pricing and contracting decisions and address sensitive performance or behavioral issues. Formulate sales objectives and assess progress for reps. Partner with Marketing to gather and analyze market trends, provide insight into the competitive landscape, and identify opportunities and risks; ensure team members are trained and continuously learning. Conduct performance management and provide timely reviews of set objectives with team members. Recommend pricing strategies and advise on pricing guidelines while maintaining margins. Interact with home office personnel and serve as liaison between home office, field sales reps and customers. Interact with Commercial Ops/Corp. Accounts for local, regional or national contracts to increase sales. Plan and conduct regional sales meetings. Develop talent and provide/support succession/career growth plans. Education / Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred. 5+ years of successful sales experience with Cardiac Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology, OR and relevant call points. Previous Sales management experience preferred. Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
Proven experience driving the sales process throughout an entire hospital system. Ability to manage complex sales and contract processes within IDN, GPO and other hospital groupings. Ability to learn, articulate and teach highly technical medical information. Ability to learn, articulate and teach technical information related to SalesForce.com. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in PC-based office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record. Ability to obtain vendor credentials (via RepTrax, Vendormate, etc.) and enter hospitals and medical facilities as required; some sites may require COVID-19 vaccination. Ability to travel up to 75% with overnight travel required. Compensation and Benefits
The pay range at commencement is expected to be between $140,000 and $318,355 (inclusive of commissions). Base pay varies by location, knowledge, skills, and experience. Commissions vary by performance. Benefits include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance; flexible spending accounts; 401(k); and various PTO, disability and parental leave programs, depending on the offer.
