Responsibilities
Investigate and evaluate coverage, liability, and damages to develop claim strategies for complex cases
Provide timely evaluations of claims and manage reserves in compliance with company standards
Deliver outstanding customer service through effective interactions with insured parties, agents, and legal counsel
Act as a subject matter expert and mentor to team members, developing training plans for the division
Provide consultation to leadership regarding severe specialty claims and recommend changes for business improvement
Qualifications
Minimum of ten years of prior insurance experience preferred
Proven experience investigating and resolving complex litigated claims
Juris Doctorate (JD) preferred
Knowledge of insurance contracts, coverage issues, and litigation management
Ability to effectively communicate with policyholders, claimants, attorneys, and management
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of insurance courses such as IIA, AEI, or CPCU preferred
Experience in surety claims or construction litigation highly preferred
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing team performance
Additional certifications or designations related to the insurance field
