We are seeking an experienced Paralegal – Intellectual Property Support to join our team. This role is critical in assisting attorneys with patent and trademark prosecution, docket management, and client communications. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in IP legal support, particularly with the USPTO. Key Responsibilities

Patent & Trademark Support: Prepare and file patent applications, responses, IDSs, and related USPTO filings Prepare and file Declarations of Use (DOUs), Statements of Use (SOUs), and assist with Office Action responses Maintain accurate docketing in AppColl; monitor and track all deadlines Review and docket communications from clients, the USPTO, and foreign associates Pay annuity and maintenance fees Attorney & Client Support: Attend weekly attorney meetings; prepare strategy drafts and reminders Draft and send formal correspondence Communicate regularly with clients regarding deadlines, filings, and updates Send engagement letters and set up new client records in firm systems Administrative: Perform daily Patent Center docketing Ensure timely processing of all required filings Additional support tasks as assigned Qualifications

Education and Experience: Minimum 2+ years of intellectual property legal support experience required Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred; Paralegal certification preferred Skills & Tools: High attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience using AppColl or similar IP docketing software Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document formatting Work Environment & Expectations

Location:

Hybrid- Raleigh Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM EST Travel:

Occasional travel for conferences or client meetings Physical Demands: Regular computer-based work and communication via phone/email, including prolonged periods of sitting at a desk Reasonable accommodations available Performance Reviews
