Overview
Citibank, N.A. seeks a Trader Structuring Lead Specialist for its New York, New York location. Responsibilities
Lead deal lifecycle from pitchbook preparation and client negotiation to product and risk approvals, legal documentation, and funding. Structure and determine risk assessment within the Export & Agency Finance product set ("EAF"). Achieve quantitative and qualitative targets for the Americas EAF team, leading origination, structuring, and execution of Export Credit Agency ("ECA") financings across industries requiring short and long-term funding. Drive ECA strategy, managing relationships, policy adherence, and risk limits. Coordinate multi-jurisdictional processes, lender syndications, and due diligence (financial, environmental & social, and contractual). Develop cross-border financing pipeline by educating clients, exporters, and internal teams on ECA processes and structuring. Monitor and manage the Americas ECA portfolio, ensuring compliance with policies and risk assessments. Mitigate operational and documentation risks. Collaborate with Bankers, Product Partners, and Underwriters to ensure seamless deal flow and execution across global markets. Deliver training on ECA products, processes, and regulatory requirements. Produce management reporting, including pipeline updates, budget tracking, and business performance analytics. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols. Qualifications
Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics or related field and 4 years of experience as a Corporate Banking Analyst, Corporate Banking Associate, Corporate Banking Senior Associate, Management Associate or related position structuring international cross border financings for a global financial services institution. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the above fields and 6 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the above positions. Full span of experience must include: Risk and Credit analysis; Financial Statement review; Guarantee Negotiations and Review; Financial Modelling using Microsoft Excel/VBA; Utilizing key returns and capital management concepts, including Risk-Weight Assets (RWA), Tangible Common Equity (TCE); Hedging and Markets products including FX and interest rates; Structured finance, including commodities financing and non-recourse financing; and Working with international clients across industries, including early stage companies seeking inaugural financing with commercial banks. 20% international and domestic travel required.
