As an
Assistant Vice President – Client Partner , you will make an impact by owning and growing a strategic portfolio of accounts within the Life Sciences business. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, and long‑term account value while strengthening executive‑level relationships and expanding Cognizant’s market presence. You will be a valued member of the Life Sciences leadership team and work collaboratively with sales, delivery, practice leaders, and executive stakeholders to deliver sustainable business outcomes. Define portfolio vision and develop comprehensive account strategies aligned to business objectives Own portfolio performance with direct accountability for revenue, total contract value, operating margin, and forecast accuracy Build and expand senior‑level relationships, positioning Cognizant as a trusted strategic advisor Translate complex business challenges into scalable technology and services solutions in partnership with sales and delivery teams Direct deal pursuits end‑to‑end, including qualification, solution shaping, and executive credentialization Support sales and delivery teams in executing account penetration and growth strategies Drive thought leadership by shaping portfolio strategy and enabling commercial conversations Lead, coach, and develop high‑performing cross‑functional teams to ensure execution excellence What you need to have to be considered
Proven leadership experience managing complex portfolios with P&L accountability Outstanding relationship management skills with executive‑level stakeholders Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate vision and influence outcomes Demonstrated experience translating business needs into technology and services solutions Deep understanding of IT services and outsourcing models Strong commercial acumen, including opportunity qualification, deal shaping, and financial management These will help you succeed
10+ years of experience in senior leadership roles 15+ years of experience managing P&L, strategic accounts, and complex relationships 15+ years of experience leading and developing high‑performing teams Ability to orchestrate across multiple internal functions and senior stakeholders Proven track record of developing and closing large, complex deals Broad technical understanding combined with domain expertise and advisory capability Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until April 2nd, 2026. The annual salary for this position is between $171,000 - $275,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
