Overview
The Nevada State Public Defender, Ely Office, is responsible for representing indigent clients in the Municipal Court of Ely Township, Ely Justice Court and the Seventh Judicial District Court. This position may supervise one or more Deputy Public Defenders and/or contracted attorneys.
Qualifications
Nevada Bar Membership is required or candidates must be eligible to practice under the rural practice provision of the Nevada Supreme Court Rule 49.9.
Preference may be given to candidates that are self-motivated, possess conflict resolution skills, proficient in Microsoft 360 programs, Legal Case Management software systems, and are fluent in Spanish.

Reviewing and analyzing discovery
Consulting with clients, investigators, and additional office staff
