The Campus Marketing & Social Media Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing social media and campus engagement strategies that promote bookstore merchandise, events, and campus brand identity across multiple college locations. This role blends creative content development with strategic coordination to increase brand visibility, drive student engagement, and support retail sales initiatives.
The coordinator will create digital content, manage social media calendars, assist with marketing campaigns, and support campus activation events such as pop-up shops and promotional experiences. This position works closely with retail store leaders and corporate marketing teams to ensure messaging aligns with company branding while maintaining an authentic campus voice.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain monthly social media content calendars for multiple campus bookstore locations.
Ensure brand consistency while tailoring content to reflect the culture and personality of each campus community.
Monitor social media performance and adjust strategies to increase engagement, reach, and follower growth.
Stay informed of evolving social media platform algorithms and trends to maximize visibility and engagement.
Content Creation Design visually engaging graphics, photos, and short-form videos for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
Highlight store promotions, new merchandise, school spirit apparel, and campus events through creative storytelling.
Use design platforms such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite to create professional marketing assets.
Ensure all content aligns with company brand guidelines and messaging standards.
Campus Engagement & Event Activation Coordinate marketing efforts for campus pop‑up shops, promotional events, and student engagement activities.
Assist in planning and executing marketing activations that increase awareness and traffic to campus stores.
Collaborate with store leaders to promote key retail periods such as back‑to‑school, graduation, game days, and campus events.
New Campus Marketing Support Assist with marketing preparation for new campus store launches or onboarding of new locations.
Research campus communication channels including student organizations, faculty communications, and university social media networks.
Support development of communication plans targeting students, faculty, and staff.
Project Coordination Manage multiple marketing initiatives simultaneously across several campuses.
Maintain organized content libraries, marketing materials, and campaign timelines.
Coordinate with retail leadership and marketing teams to ensure timely campaign execution.
Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
1–3 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, content creation, or campus marketing.
Experience developing marketing or social media content for college campus audiences strongly preferred.
Hands‑on, day‑to‑day retail store operations experience required.
Skills Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging social media platforms.
Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple content calendars.
Strong written communication and attention to detail.
Ability to analyze engagement metrics and adapt strategies accordingly.

Ability to work at a computer for extended periods while designing and scheduling content.
