Respond to member questions and needs via phone, email and in person. Provide excellent customer service. Work on events including (but not limited to): Newport Charter Yacht Show; Newport to Bermuda Race; Newport Yacht Rendezvous; Weekly Member Events; Safe Harbor Race Weekend; Newport Brokerage Show; Other Private Events. Manage event logistics (venues, vendors, registration); create promotional materials (program, schedules, promotional bags); manage social media; assist with on‑site set‑up, breakdown and attendee engagement. Perform other duties as assigned by Manager. Safety and Environmental Responsibilities Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training. Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area. Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately. Technical and Physical Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior marina experience preferred. Previous customer service experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to lift 10 pounds. Any skills considered standard that a Member Services Specialist should possess. Minimum Soft Skill Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills for creating materials and liaising with stakeholders. Organization, multitasking ability, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Eagerness to engage in a growing, fast‑paced, industry‑leading company.
