Associate Account Executive, Construction — Woodbury, NY

Position Summary:

This position involves day-to-day responsibilities that require independent judgment and discretion, contributing to the department’s ongoing success. Essential Functions & Basic Duties:

Provide critical support to the Account Executive and broader account team by maintaining client records, ensuring timely processing of policies, endorsements, and renewals, and facilitating seamless communication between clients, carriers, and internal teams. Assist the Account Executive in maintaining high retention rates for an existing book of business. Review policies and endorsements, requesting carrier modifications as needed. Ensure accuracy and integrity of system activities and client records. Serve as the first point of contact for client billing issues, coverage inquiries, and invoicing and endorsement processing. Utilize and comply with all required technology tools, including EPIC, Outlook, and CSR24 Collaborate with producers, clients, and internal teams to service existing and new accounts. Assist in preparing specifications and applications for marketing renewals and new business. Mentor and guide Team Associates and other support staff. Work with the Account Executive to gather, analyze, and submit necessary information for marketing and carrier selection. Collect and organize data for renewal strategy meetings. Track and follow up on outstanding client action items, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met. Identify client exposure to loss and collaborate with the Account Executive to recommend appropriate coverage. Analyze cancellation requests, considering all factors to retain accounts when possible. Order and review binders, policies, endorsements, and audits, ensuring accuracy before forwarding them to clients. Order/issue certificates as needed Prepare insurance summaries, schedules, and required supplemental applications. Follow up with carriers to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies. Monitor renewal timelines to keep the Account Executive informed of pending dates. Assist in coordinating renewal and new account billing and financing. Communicate with clients and insurance carriers as needed. Prepare premium allocations for clients. Attend client and prospect meetings as required. Assist in the development of proposals. Build and maintain strong relationships with market partners. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Supervisory Duties:

Strong written and oral communication; strong presentation skills Ability to interpret abstract information Knowledge of insurance products and usage, insurance markets and reference to markets Knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting procedures Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word EPIC, etc. Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment Detailed orientated with ability to multi-task Education and Work Experience:

College Degree with a minimum of two years’ Insurance experience; or Minimum of 3 years construction insurance experience in a support role Property & Casualty License Experience with EPIC or Applied Why SterlingRisk?

The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 – $75,000 annually, plus benefits, and can vary based on location.
