The **Senior EHS Specialist** serves as an experienced individual contributor on Environmental, Health and/or Safety (EHS) projects and assignments that are complex in nature and that support and enhance Caterpillar facility performance and compliance.
**What Will You Do (may include but not limited to):*** Identifies common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.* Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.* Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.* Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions, alerts line management to problems and makes recommendations for improvement**What You Will Have:*** **Collaborating:** Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner to build effective interpersonal relationships* **Risk Management:** Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.* **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.* **Overcoming Resistance to Change:** Understanding and insight into the futility of refusing to accept the inevitable and ability to overcome resistance and adapt to a complex and changing environment.* **Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance:** Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards.### ### **Summary Pay Range:**$112,710.00 - $169,060.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
