Overview The Gresham Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Investigative Analyst. This role provides analytical and investigative support to sworn personnel by collecting, evaluating, and interpreting data to assist in criminal investigations and strategic crime reduction efforts. This position requires the preparation of analytical reports, maintenance of evidentiary standards, and the ability to present findings in administrative and judicial settings. Position Description What you will get to do: • Compile, analyze, and interpret crime data, including call detail records, geospatial information, and criminal intelligence. • Produce analytical products such as link analysis charts, timelines, statistical reports, and crime maps. • Provide investigative support and develop actionable intelligence to assist detectives in case development. • Conduct research and analysis of digital and social media evidence in accordance with legal and evidentiary standards. • Prepare written reports and present findings to department personnel, partner agencies, and other stakeholders. • Maintain and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of data and analytical systems. • Testify in court regarding analytical processes, methodologies, and findings as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, data analytics, intelligence analysis, or a related field Three (3) or more years of relevant experience in crime analysis, intelligence analysis, or investigative support Valid driver's license Good driving record (as determined by our driving matrix -- see the Employment Automatic Disqualifier list below) Any combination of qualifying education, training, and/or experience equivalent to Seven (7) or more years will be considered
