
Real Estate Transaction Compliance Officer

Description
The Real Estate Transaction Compliance Officer ensures our operations and business transactions follow Real Estate rules and regulations as well as internal processes. You will review contracts to ensure compliance, provide tech support and training on compliance technology, and maintain the company contract database.
To succeed in this role, you must be a reliable professional who is detail-oriented, organized, and able to educate and problem-solve alongside our Real Estate agents. If you have a sharp business acumen, we'd like to meet you. Your goal is to ensure we operate legally and ethically while meeting our business objectives.
Responsibilities
• Maintain and improve the company's compliance program • Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them • Draft and revise company policies as necessary to support the needs of the department • Proactively audit processes, practices, and documents to identify weaknesses • Evaluate business activities to assess compliance risk • Collaborate with external auditors and leadership when needed • Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation • Educate and train employees/agents on regulations and industry practices • Address employee/agent concerns or questions on internal processes and state requirements • Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals
Qualifications
• Worked with industry-specific software. Examples: Dotloop, Form Simplicity, E-Sign, Docusign, Skyslope, etc.Experience in risk management • Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards • Excellent communication skills • Integrity and professional ethics • Business acumen • Teamwork skills • Attention to detail • Software Implementation and Maintenance • Proven experience as a Real Estate Compliance Officer, Transaction Coordinator, or similar position • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times
