This position is responsible for managing income tax compliance, provision, research, audit, and planning processes for domestic and/or international operations and assisting in leading the teams. Essential Job Duties: Manage and own income tax compliance related to domestic and foreign operations, including preparing returns and estimated payments Preparation and review of quarterly and annual accounting for income taxes including determination of effective tax rate, maintenance of balance sheet tax accounts and preparation of related financial statement ASC 740 disclosures in accordance with US GAAP. Manage process and review responses to taxing authorities for income tax audits. Monitor tax team's SOX compliance and manage responses to internal audit requests. Monitor tax developments and tax changes including new tax laws impacting the Company. Assess and guide organization with the potential tax impact as well as opportunities and alternatives. Systematically communicate ongoing and new tax changes to management and identify opportunities to minimize tax. Assist in tax planning for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic tax planning initiatives. Evaluate tax implications pertaining to new transactions and ensure compliance is reached after transactions close. Manage and/or review the process of post-acquisition tax integration and determination of tax entries for ASC 805 business combinations and completion of Form 8594. Assist Tax Director in an advising capacity for all internal requests related to corporate income taxes. Identify, initiate, and support the continual improvement of quality and efficiency of processes and systems. Assume other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work, ensuring quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance, and administering corrective action for staff. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree. 10+ years related income tax experience in public accounting or large multi-national public company tax department. 3+ year's serving in a supervisory/management capacity of at least 3 associates and projects. Substantial understanding of GAAP including ASC 740 and ASC 805. Substantial understanding of tax statutes and regulations for domestic and/or international jurisdictions. Preferred Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting. Master's Degree. Experience with OneSource Income and Provision Tax software. Experience with Tax Research Software (Bloomberg, CCH, Checkpoint). Experience with BNA Fixed Asset Software. Experience with Oracle ERP Software. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs. Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain, and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations to support business objectives. Frequently communicates complex information across departments and interacts with management. Can present, resolve, and address delicate situations. Can motivate and persuade others. Problems are varied and complex, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation. Problems are solved using knowledge and skills, general precedents, and practices. Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently. Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements). Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
