Summary Detailed Description
Project Leadership & Management: Oversee entire electrical projects from design to completion, including managing budgets, obtaining permits, and scheduling work.
Infrastructure Management: Lead the installation and maintenance of high-voltage power distribution systems, including Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Power Distribution Units (PDUs), and emergency diesel generators.
System Design & Planning: Interpret complex blueprints and technical diagrams to plan wiring layouts and equipment installations for residential, commercial, or industrial facilities.
Supervision: Lead contractor installations, ensuring all work adheres to NFPA 70E safety standards and local electrical codes.
Monitoring & Compliance: Use Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) to track real-time power quality and respond to alarms.
Advanced Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair intricate electrical malfunctions that require expert-level technical knowledge, such as issues with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or high-voltage systems.
Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance on transformers, circuit breakers, and automatic transfer switches (ATS) during strict off-peak maintenance windows.
Safety: Conduct thorough inspections to verify that installations meet strict safety standards and regulatory requirements to prevent hazards.
Licensure: Must possess a valid State Master Electrician license.
Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of electrical theory, power distribution, motor controls, and high-voltage equipment.
Leadership & Communication: Strong ability to direct teams, coordinate with other trades (e.g., HVAC, plumbing), and communicate technical details to stakeholders.
Physical Demands
Duties of the position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
Typical Experience
Three to six years of relevant experience
Typical Education
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
