About the role: Senior Regional Advisor Consultant role is responsible for promoting and selling Westwood's investment products through financial intermediaries and working closely with several Senior Divisional Consultants (Senior External Wholesalers). Due to the nature of working within a small group, this position involves learning and contributing to many aspects of the business. In this Senior role, you will be responsible for mentoring more junior members of the team. A day in the life: Partner with several senior external wholesalers to drive the sale and retention of mutual funds and separately managed accounts within a geographic region. Develop and maintain relationships with financial advisors and Registered Investment Advisors (RIA's) to identify sales opportunities and meet established sales goals. Make proactive outbound sales calls to financial advisors/registered investment advisors to grow and retain business. Responds accurately and timely to inbound inquiries on our products and position Westwood's mutual funds and managed accounts in the marketplace. Support external wholesaler by assisting them with scheduling of meetings, providing product information, and gathering market data. Maintain a high level of knowledge concerning Westwood products as well as current macroeconomic conditions and trends. Use knowledge to deliver effective presentations promoting Westwood's products, and competitive advantages. Analyze competitive landscape and market data to source opportunities for the firm. Ensure compliance with internal and external rules, policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements. Prepare proposal materials and run illustrations. Assist in projects as needed to support the overall goals of the Intermediary Distribution Group. Other duties and projects as assigned. What you'll need: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsorship is available. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or similar field Ten years of investment experience in lieu of degree. Series 7 and 63 licenses required. 10+ years of Internal Wholesaling sales experience Who you are: Demonstrated understanding of investments and the capitals markets. Excellent time management and organization skills with strong attention to detail. Possesses a high level of self-motivation. Able to prioritize, plan and take initiative with little supervision. Strong communication skills. Communicates effectively with colleagues, financial advisors and clients both verbally (over the phone and in person) and in writing. Strong writing ability. Ability to prepare correspondence, reports and forms using a prescribed format. Superior interpersonal, organizational and client service skills and ability to work with and coordinate between various groups within the organization. Willingness to take on projects outside the scope of a traditional internal wholesaler role. Previous experience with financial services software (Morningstar Workstation, Zephyr) is a plus. Previous experience with CRM system is a plus (Salesforce preferred). Comfortable working in excel.
