Position Overview Apex Skin is a physician-led and rapidly growing dermatology practice committed to clinical excellence, community impact, and strategic growth. The
Community Engagement & Business Development Coordinator
plays a dual role in strengthening Apex Skin’s presence in the community while supporting business development initiatives that drive sustainable growth.
This position is responsible for building and nurturing relationships with community organizations, local stakeholders, and business partners. The role includes planning and executing outreach initiatives, identifying growth opportunities, coordinating events, and supporting partnership development efforts to enhance Apex Skin’s visibility and reputation.
Essential Functions
Community Outreach & Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, local businesses, schools, and residents
Plan, organize, and execute community events, workshops, and meetings to increase public engagement and brand awareness
Serve as a primary point of contact for community members, responding to inquiries and promoting Apex Skin’s mission and services
Collaborate with local organizations to identify and develop community-based projects and partnership opportunities
Research and identify potential business opportunities, target industries, and prospective partners
Initiate outreach to potential clients through phone, email, networking events, and strategic engagement
Support the planning and coordination of business development events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
Assist in tracking and reporting business development metrics and engagement outcomes
Partnership & Relationship Management
Cultivate and manage relationships with community partners and business clients to strengthen collaboration and long-term engagement
Assist in identifying and developing strategic partnerships that align with Apex Skin’s growth and community impact objectives
Monitor the progress of outreach and development activities and provide regular updates on performance metrics and key initiatives
Event Planning & Coordination
Oversee event logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site execution for both community and business development initiatives
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure events align with organizational goals, branding standards, and operational expectations
Ensure timely follow-up and documentation of event outcomes and partnership engagement
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse groups
Strong research, organizational, and project management abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms
Demonstrated networking and relationship-building capabilities
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet established deadlines
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills
Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented
Experience in healthcare, community engagement, or business development is preferred

Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and Apex Skin privacy and safety standards
