About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Purchasing Specialist
to lead procurement and inventory control activities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. This role serves as a critical operational hub, responsible for vendor negotiations, pricing management, and cross-functional coordination. You will work closely with Engineering, Warehouse, and Accounting teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials for high-priority projects. Key Responsibilities Strategic Procurement & Vendor Management Own the full purchasing lifecycle (projects, services, returns, repairs) Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and freight conditions with vendors Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and distributors Support vendor onboarding, account setup, and dealer applications Inventory Control & Pricing Integrity Maintain accurate pricing and purchasing data within ERP systems Ensure alignment of vendor costs across internal tools and workflows Review purchase orders for accuracy (pricing, quantities, job allocation) Manage RFQs and resolve shortages, delays, and shipping discrepancies Cross-Functional Coordination Partner with Engineering and Project Management to align materials with project timelines Collaborate with Warehouse teams on receiving and staging logistics Support Accounting/AP with invoice research, PO reconciliation, and close processes Provide real-time updates on order status, ETAs, and material availability Leadership & Process Improvement Enforce purchasing policies and drive departmental priorities Track KPIs and evaluate vendor performance Identify opportunities to improve processes, data integrity, and material flow Qualifications & Skills 5+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience (project-based environments preferred) Experience managing high-volume purchasing activity (multiple orders daily, large annual spend) Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management experience Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) ERP system experience (data accuracy and integrity are critical) Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively Nice to Have Experience within the Commercial AV or similar equipment-driven industry Established vendor relationships within relevant supply chains What Were Looking For Strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment Someone who enjoys building relationships and negotiating outcomes A proactive problem-solver who takes ownership and drives results Comfortable working in a smaller, tight-knit company setting Additional Details 100% on-site role in Norcross, GA Collaborative environment with cross-functional exposure Opportunity to take ownership of a critical function within the organization
