Position Summary
FCN Bank is growing, and we are looking for a Mortgage Lender who is prepared to make a difference in the lives of customers. The Mortgage Lender will be responsible for discussing client's needs, recommending the best products, helping customers put together a complete loan package and working with the processing team throughout the loan transaction. The ideal candidate also has experience in secondary market guidelines, Home Equity Lines of Credit, closed end second mortgages and other bank products.
Essential Functions
- Meet with customers to determine their needs and recommend the right loan products to help meet their goals.
- Maintain an active knowledge base of FCN Bank’s products and an understanding of the qualifications required of each applicant.
- Identify and recommend products that meet the customer's needs and the organization's guidelines.
- Review active loan files to determine if any documents are missing or what can be done to help the process along.
- Utilize professional judgement to determine which potential borrowers represent good risk opportunities for the organization.
- Promote and represent the bank with a high level of professionalism through community involvement.
- Cross sells other bank products as well as assures customer satisfaction and Bank profitability.
- Occasionally assist in collection of other loans within their portfolio.
- All other reasonable duties as assigned.
Skills & Abilities
Experience and/or Education:
- Experience in banking or commensurate educational background preferable
- General working knowledge of banking and lending
Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on professionalism and clarity.
- Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and remain composed under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ethical conduct aligned with industry standards and organizational values.
- Customer-oriented approach, dedicated to delivering exceptional service while adhering to company policies.
