Job Summary The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is a non‑profit, bipartisan public policy organization established in 1962 to provide strategic insights and practical policy solutions to decision makers concerned with global security and prosperity. Over the years, it has grown to be one of the largest organizations of its kind, with a staff of some 250 employees, including more than 120 analysts. The iDeas Lab, CSIS’s award‑winning creative and digital production department, seeks highly motivated and creative candidates for a full‑time, six‑month multimedia production internship in Washington, D.C., beginning early May 2026. The role focuses on video production and audio production for podcasts. The hired candidate will be paid hourly, commensurate with experience: $18.00/hour for current undergraduate hires, $19.00/hour for graduates, and $20.00/hour for masters students. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Serve as the primary video editor for CSIS vertical videos and video podcast episodes using Adobe Premiere and Riverside. Support studio set‑up and edit interviews for long‑form video. Source B‑roll and music for CSIS video products, and conduct pre‑production research as needed. Edit full‑length podcast episodes and other audio features using Adobe Audition. Track and compile metrics for various iDeas Lab products. Capture photography for CSIS events and congressional hearings as needed. Additional tasks as required. Knowledge, Education, and Experience B.A./B.S. in a relevant field (or rising senior). Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to operate in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing priorities. Adobe Suite experience a plus. Strong attention to detail, initiative, and follow‑through skills. Eligible to work in the United States.
