Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager (Generalist) to join a collaborative, growth-focused public accounting firm. This role involves managing complex individual tax engagements, providing strategic planning, and mentoring staff-all within a culture that values integrity, innovation, and client success.
Key Responsibilities Manage and review individual tax returns (1040) for high-net-worth clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Provide proactive tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize financial outcomes. Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, fostering professional development and technical expertise. Conduct research on complex tax issues and stay current on evolving tax laws. Prepare and present detailed reports to clients, offering actionable insights and planning opportunities. Collaborate with other service areas to deliver comprehensive solutions for clients.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, EA, JD, or equivalent certification required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in individual tax compliance and planning, with a focus on 1040 returns. Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations. Experience with CCH Axcess or similar tax software preferred. Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
