Position Overview
An established insurance agency in Paramus, NJ is seeking an experienced and customer-focused
Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Customer Service Representative . This individual will be responsible for servicing personal and/or commercial lines accounts while delivering exceptional support to clients and maintaining strong carrier relationships.
Key Responsibilities Provide prompt and professional service to clients regarding coverage questions, policy changes, billing inquiries, and claims assistance Process endorsements, renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, and new business applications Issue certificates of insurance, evidence of property forms, and other required documentation Review policies for accuracy, completeness, and potential coverage gaps Support producers with account servicing, remarketing, and follow-up Maintain accurate and detailed client records within the agency management system Communicate with insurance carriers to address underwriting or service-related matters Identify cross-sell opportunities when appropriate
Qualifications Minimum 2 years of P&C insurance customer service experience preferred Working knowledge of personal and/or commercial lines coverage Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and agency management systems Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and client relationship management skills
