Affordable Housing & LIHTC Transactions Attorney
Compensation:
BOE $200,000 - $250,000+ Benefits:

My client is seeking a highly motivated attorney with strong real estate and financing experience to join our nationally recognized practice focused on
affordable housing and low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC).
This role offers the chance to lead sophisticated transactions from start to finish while working directly with developers, lenders, and governmental entities.
Key Responsibilities
Take the lead in
purchase and sale transactions
representing purchasers, including negotiations, documentation, title review, due diligence, and property transfers. Draft and negotiate
easements, licenses, joint use, and cost-sharing agreements
necessary for ongoing project operations. Manage
construction-to-permanent financing conversions
for borrowers and developers, including conventional bank loans and complex multi-source government financing. Drive
real estate financing transactions
involving private, nonprofit, and governmental lenders, as well as direct tax credit investors and investment funds-taking ownership of debt, equity, and overall project coordination with limited supervision. Develop working knowledge of
economic projections, tax credit structures, and investor requirements,
spotting issues such as minimum gain or capital account discrepancies. Draft legal opinions with minimal oversight. Build strong relationships with
state and local agencies
and serve as a trusted advisor to clients navigating public-private partnerships.
Qualifications
Strong background in affordable housing, LIHTC, or complex real estate/financing transactions. Ability to independently handle negotiations, documentation, and project management with limited partner supervision. Excellent communication skills and client service mindset. Proven ability to work on multi-faceted transactions with numerous moving parts.
