Role ImpactThis position represents a unique opportunity to help build one of the first scalable national professional services platforms for licensed engineering and survey deliverables derived from drone based reality capture.The Director of Professional Services will bridge traditional surveying and engineering disciplines with modern UAS, LiDAR, and photogrammetry technologies, establishing defensible workflows that transform raw aerial data into certified, engineering grade outputs.This leader will define technical standards, build a high performing team of specialists, and create repeatable processes that enable enterprise clients to leverage advanced geospatial data at scale.What You Will DoDepartment Leadership Build and lead a professional services team focused on engineering and survey grade deliverables Establish operational standards and quality assurance processes for certified data outputs Recruit, mentor, and manage technical staff including surveyors, engineers, and geospatial specialists Define service offerings and develop repeatable workflows for enterprise clientsBusiness Ownership Own the P&L and operational performance of the Professional Services division Develop pricing models and service packages for engineering and survey grade deliverables Drive revenue growth through new service offerings and expanded technical capabilities Partner with sales leadership to support complex enterprise opportunitiesTechnical Oversight Provide professional oversight and certification for deliverables requiring licensed authority Establish QA and QC frameworks to ensure engineering and survey grade accuracy Evaluate and implement advanced reality capture technologies including LiDAR and photogrammetry Develop scalable workflows for large scale data capture and processingUAS and Reality Capture Integration Lead the integration of UAS based data capture into engineering and surveying workflows Oversee complex projects involving LiDAR, photogrammetry, and geospatial data products Work closely with operations teams to ensure field data capture meets technical requirements Define standards for data capture that support downstream certified deliverablesRequired Qualifications Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS), Professional Engineer (PE), or equivalent certification 10+ years experience in surveying, engineering, or geospatial services Experience managing teams and technical professionals Experience managing a departmental P&L or technical line of business Strong understanding of LiDAR, photogrammetry, and reality capture workflows Experience working with UAS based data acquisition Proven ability to build and scale professional service offeringsProfessional Software ExperienceCandidates should have familiarity with professional platforms used in surveying, engineering, LiDAR processing, and reality capture workflows.Survey and Engineering SoftwareAutoCAD Civil 3D MicroStation Trimble Business Center Carlson Survey Leica InfinityPhotogrammetry and Reality CapturePix4D Agisoft Metashape RealityCapture Bentley ContextCapture DroneDeployLiDAR and Point Cloud ProcessingTerraScan / TerraSolid LP360 Global Mapper Leica Cyclone RIEGL RiPROCESS CloudCompareGIS and Geospatial PlatformsArcGIS QGISCandidates should understand how these tools integrate into end to end workflows from UAS data acquisition through certified engineering or survey grade deliverables.Who This Role Is Ideal ForThis role is ideal for a licensed surveyor or engineer who wants to help build something new at the intersection of traditional surveying and emerging reality capture technologies.You may currently be: A PLS or PE leading a survey or geospatial team who wants broader ownership of a growing technical service line A senior LiDAR or geospatial professional looking to build scalable workflows that combine UAS, LiDAR, and engineering deliverables A technical leader within a surveying or engineering firm interested in helping shape the future of reality capture at national scaleThis position offers the opportunity to build and lead a professional services capability from the ground up, combining licensed expertise with advanced drone and geospatial technologies.Compensation and BenefitsThis is a full time position with competitive compensation and benefits.FlyGuys offers: Competitive salary Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Employee stock option programLocationThis role is based in Lafayette, Louisiana and operates from the FlyGuys headquarters.FlyGuys HQLafayette, LA 70501
