Roles and responsibilities include qualifying project bidding opportunities and conducting roofing surveys. Establish, nurture, and grow direct customer relationships with owners, asset managers, property managers, facility managers, building engineers, and roof consultants. Self-generate business through networking and prospecting. Personally deliver and present project proposals. Accurately document scope and recommendations for customers. Expand technical knowledge in both industry-general and project-specific aspects. Lead the company in fostering a customer-centric attitude, service, and response. Promote the Rackley Roofing brand in the marketplace. Must be available during business core hours (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm) and have flexible availability after hours as needed. Sales responsibilities include generating leads, engaging with prospects, and selling commercial roofing services. Collaborate with the estimating team to generate proposals. Cultivate compelling relationships with prospective clients and build strong connections. Performance metrics include measuring success through total project sales (roofing and sheet metal). Meet or exceed the company's reroof growth goals. Adhere to Rackley Roofing Policies, Procedures, and Processes while aligning with the company's Core Values. Record and contribute to the number of created project opportunities in the Dataforma database. Skills required include a proven track record in acquiring new roofing business within a goal-oriented sales environment. Five years of commercial sales experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous commercial roofing experience is a must. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to read and understand blueprints. Strong negotiation skills. Ability to cultivate and maintain interpersonal connections with prospective and current clients. Must be comfortable with heights and spending time on roofs. Must be comfortable with direct selling of major scale projects.
