
Senior Marketing Manager

This role is responsible for driving exhibition bookings and earned revenue through direct outreach, relationship management, and sales execution with museums and cultural institutions in the U.S. and internationally. The Senior Marketing Manager manages a defined sales pipeline, maintains ongoing institutional relationships, and works closely with senior leadership and internal partners to align sales activity with organizational priorities and exhibition capacity.Duties and responsibilitiesSales Pipeline Management: Drive bookings by prospecting, negotiating, and closing exhibition engagements for IA&As traveling exhibition portfolio with museums and cultural institutions.Strategic Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with museum directors, curators, and exhibition planners to encourage repeat bookings and identify new prospects.Team Collaboration: Support day-to-day coordination of shared marketing and sales activities, contributing to team execution and consistent follow-through on outreach and pipeline tasks.Cross-Departmental Alignment: Work in alignment with the Vice President of Exhibitions to ensure sales activity reflects operational capacity and supports exhibition planning.CRM & Data Integrity: Maintain accurate institutional records and sales data within Monday.com to support forecasting and ongoing improvements to internal sales processes.Organizational Representation: Represent IA&A at industry events and meetings as needed, demonstrating strong knowledge of the exhibitions portfolio and a commitment to the organizations mission of cultural diplomacy.QualificationsBachelors degree required; background in arts administration, museum studies, marketing, or related fields preferred.Senior Manager: 4+ years of progressive experience in sales, marketing, or revenue-generating rolesExperience in relationship-based sales, earned revenue environments, or direct marketing preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfort with phone-based and outbound communication.Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet goals, and collaborate effectively across teams.Experience with CRM systems (Monday preferred).Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.Interest in and enthusiasm for the visual arts and museum field.CompensationThe starting salary range for this position is $60,000-65,000 per year depending upon experience. This position is eligible for commission. Working conditionsInternational Arts and Artists is located in the historic DuPont Circle neighborhood in Washington, DC. This is a hybrid position. The incumbent is expected to work in the Washington, DC headquarters on a regular basis, with an in-office presence at least 2-3 days a week. Occasional travel and evening/weekend obligations will be expected.
