Account Manager

A growing freight and logistics organization is expanding its Memphis market presence and actively onboarding new business. The team is seeking a strong Account Manager who can protect, manage, and grow existing accounts through operational discipline and relationship management. This is not a hunting role. The focus is ownership, execution, and client retention. The right candidate understands how freight actually moves and knows how to prevent service failures before they impact the customer. Key responsibilities include managing and growing established customer accounts, overseeing day-to-day service execution across FTL and multimodal freight, coordinating closely with operations to ensure on-time, accurate delivery, proactively identifying and resolving service issues before escalation, maintaining consistent communication with customers regarding shipment updates and performance metrics, identifying upsell and account expansion opportunities within existing relationships, maintaining strong internal alignment between sales and operations teams, and monitoring KPIs and ensuring service consistency across assigned accounts. Requirements include 2+ years of Account Management experience within freight brokerage or 3PL, a strong operational understanding of freight movement and execution, experience managing multimodal freight environments, a client-focused mindset with a long-term relationship approach, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and comfort working onsite in the Memphis area.
